View Full Version : So much for newbies lurking

I guess the restrictions on the PM function really curtails newbies from lurking quietly while reading and learning. Too bad you guys (MODS) are restricting us from asking questions privately so as not to take up space in the forums with potentially dumb questions.

If publicly asked even the dumbest question will be answered and will help the next newbie simply by browsing our forums!

I wouldn't mind the restrictions for the casual passer by but for paid members it's kind of ticky tack for the PM functions.

There should not be PM restrictions for ARC members. I made a small change, please try again.

I thought there were no restrictions for members.

I built a system for a member that became a member 4 months before ever making first post. He was involved in HUNDREDS of PMs before that point and was very instrumental in his making the right decisions for his system.

I'll try when I have something to say. Thank you,

Greg

Thanks. Too true! I can't tell you how many threads I've read. Love the build threads to get ideas for a system of my own. Actually the person that referred me, I couldn't even communicate with. How about them apples :)

I think I was a silent observer for about 2 weeks before I registered even, just learning. I probably logged about 60.hrs in my hotel room just researching. Too bad spam forced that but it was becoming an issue both by PM and post.

My membership expired. I still have 50 pm's available. It's been that way for awhile. It may just mean you have to clean them out a little more often, shouldn't stop anyone from using them. Make sure you delete your sent messages as well.

Also please note that Mods do NOT make rules. We just put in time doing stuff that makes us unpopular in exchange for high pay and fantastic vacations.

Waiting on "hair transplants" to be added to the list of perks, personally.

That's covered now under free cosmetic surgery (I am actually a recipient). If you wait until next year, laser hair removal will be available.
