Alan,

I noticed the debacle on the other power buy. I suggest that if we need to delay this one until all the dust settles then feel free to do so from my perspective.

BTW, I want to send a big thanks to all of you (Alan, Tony, Chris) that go through the effort of coordinating these and your effort is very much appreciated.

Rob

Thanks Rhomer, everything is still on track. Although as of now there are only 3 people in this Group Buy.

Ok everyone there is only a few days left so please PM me if interested. So far I only have 4 people buying OM's. I need 1 more at least to get the discounted price.

Come on people! OM makes awesome products and this is a really good deal. I hope to get mine soon but if we have to wait for more people to commit I can wait if we must.

Am I missing something. I don't see anywhere in the thread or the links what the "powerbuy" includes. Which equipment? What deal?

Kinda hard to figure out if I want anything if I don't know what is on sale.

This isn't a club sponsored "PowerBuy" persay... there's just a few people getting together to get a group rate on Oceans Motions (http://www.oceansmotions.com/store/?osCsid=1e2da2b25c0dad39ffba237a0d4c7932) units.
(Refer to their website (http://www.oceansmotions.com/store/?osCsid=1e2da2b25c0dad39ffba237a0d4c7932) for more information)
They are basically a plumbing directional device that is used to promote alternating water current in your tank. They're really nice too!

I am sorry but there was not enough interest in this Group Buy. All that was interested pm me one more time and I will give this GB until next Friday before I cancel it. Hopefully we can get at least one more person.

By the way, not to mess up the power buy, but you can get oceans motions units through Sammy (Aquabuys) and he can give us the group buy discount (discounted from the OM prices since he's an official OM dealer) and will also take care of all the shipping charges and we'll have local pickup in Lawrenceville! :D

I just sent a message to Sammy to find out what the minimum, if any, would have to be. ;)

I know this thread is pretty old,but any chance of this still happening? Im in for one if theres still enough interest in a group buy.

I'm fairly certain this one is completely dead :). The good news though is that Sam at aquabuys is a licenced vendor. His prices are a lil better than the advertised ones at the official oceanmotions site, making a powerbuy pointless anyways.

We just need one or two more people to make the "informal group of 5 or 6" buy. I think that we can get this buy bought with 46bfinga involved. :)

Im in, Lets do it! Tell me what I need to do and we can get this thing going. You allready have one of these dont you on a closed loop? Do they require much maintenence? You running the version 3?

I love the one I have on my 120g running my closed loop. Next to the AquaController Jr it is the best thing that I have for my tank.
Zero maint for the unit.
Once I moved a piece of LR from my sump and into my display tank. I did not think about it but it had pieces of broken rubble and chips of rock and sand all over it from prior "reshaping" with a hammer. Without thinking I placed it in the tank and moved it right near one of the two intakes that I have for my CL Dart pump. The rock made a cloud of debris and my tank was milky for several hours. The intake strainer let thru a piece just large enough to stick inside the rotating OM unit. It made a funny click for about a day and stopped rotating. The next morning it was running fine. It is one tough piece of equipment. I am getting one to have ready for the next tank that I am getting ready to put together. They are that good.

Ok. LOL! Consider it on.
Anyone else want in on this mini Group Buy? Oceans Motions units are really awesome and can be used to change the outputs of your Closed Loop or you can run your return thru it and have it switch outputs back into the tank.
