This is in no particular order:
1. Staff was excellent today. Extremely helpful and had a couple great conversations. I even picked out a Sally that I wanted and while bagging one of the guys (sorry missed the handle on the board) pointed out that it was missing a claw. He found me a new one. Now that is quality service. He could have easily bagged it and not said a word. I probably wouldn't have cared when I got uni-claw home, but I greatly appreciate the consideration and will buy something from them again for this reason alone.
2. Marine Fish gets knocked for high prices occasionally, but today I picked up great Flame Angel Fish for $60 before discount which probably makes that the cheapest flame angel around here after the discount. They also had my sally for 12 bucks pre-discount which is a good price as well. Like all LFS stores some things are cheaper elsewhere, but with prices like those on just a few items that will get me back in there store when I am looking for something.
3. One of the other guys in the department really worked with me as I had a gift card I wanted to use up. He didn't have to, but he discounted a single item a couple bucks so it would fit on the gift card. I was fully expecting to shell out the couple bucks in cash, but he rung it up so I didn't have to. I know it wasn't a lot and in the grand scheme of things won't even buy a meal at McDonalds, but again that is the kind of service that will get me back in the store.
I love the corals at Cap Bay, I am in awe of the super clean tanks at Optimum, but Marine Fish really came through for me today in a lot of little ways. They could have done business as usual and that would have been fine, but the guys went above and beyond. Great job and I will be bringing my business back to your store as well as directing people to your store.
