i think :) Anyhow, wanted to see them before they are gobbled into oblivion. I have a moon light on, will they still hatch? They are transparent already and also, if I catch a couple will they still survive in a cup until morning so the kids can see them?

From what I understand, the Fry will always "wait" till the lights go out before they hatch (usually on day 8 if the water temp is around 80 degrees). If you limit the water flow on the night of the hatching, you will have a good chance of scooping up several of the fry.

Raising clowns requires a great deal of preparation with several cultures of Rotifers on hand to feed the fry. Without these cultures ready to go, it will be hard to feed the new arrivals.

yeah, i know it's hard, we will try one day but since kids have school i was hoping that i could find a way for them to see the babies before they died. Someone said they had a yolk that fed them for several hours before it runs out. but didn't know if they would survive in a cup for about 6.

Yeah, I am like you... I would love to setup a tank for the clown fish larvae (someday). Good for you to get them to lay eggs!

I think that the fry will hang in there till at least the next morning. If you have an air stone or an air pump all the better.

Temperature and flow would be needed to keep them overnight otherwise they can survive up to about 72 hours on their yolk sac.
