Well I got my aptasia problem totally under control. Now I need an army of crabs to take care of my bubble algae problem. Yeah, I know, I should have clean the rock that came with the bubble algae on it. Where can I get some crabs? Is the crab the best solution to bubble algae problem?
This hobby is something else, isn't it? If it's not one thing, it's something else. It's seem like as you progress along in the hobby, you keep adding/introducing more pests/problems to the system.

Hey Rit. We are also enjoying a nice breakout of Bubble Algae. Emeralds did not do that well on it for us. Seemed like they ate some of it and went on to other things. We had a Sailfin Tang that was voracious on the stuff. We seem to be having pretty good luck with just pulling out what rock we can, scrubbing it, rinsing and putiing it back and on the rocks we cant pull out just taking our siphon hose and using that to knock it loose and siphoning it straight out. If one happens to bust, the spores are siphoned out and hopefully not given a chance to get into the system. It may be unconventional but hey so far it is working. I have also heard Foxfaces like to eat the stuff but dont have any experience on that one. Good Luck. I know how ya feel. BA is PIA!

Thanks Greg. You know what, I never had problem with bubble algae when I had foxface and sailfin. You might be on to something there. I'll look more into those fish. I'm with you. I'm not to fond of the crabs especially with all the fish I have in the tank. Thanks

Tim @ Keen Reef sold me 3 and they did the trick for my 90g. I think they were $8 each. He has something for every problem.

I think Optimum has one of the best prices around on them if I recall.
My Scopas tang loves bubble algae. If I scrape it off something in the overflow and a little floats around the tank he immediately goes after it and eats it up.
