View Full Version : Reef critters aren't the only expensive pets
wbholwell 03-13-2007, 10:43 PM Recently on the list of items my dog has chewed up or eaten: the $600 pair of diamond earings I gave my wife for Christmas.
Also on the list:
Leg of new coffee table
1 GB memory card
electric starter for gas grill

JustOneMoreTank 03-13-2007, 11:38 PM I would have to find those diamond earings if I were you! Even if she wont wear them ever again (because of where/how you find them) the store would take them back if you cleaned them off a little. ;)
Flipturn88 03-14-2007, 12:15 AM Ouch! Your dog has expensive tasts, literally.
FishyBusiness 03-14-2007, 2:16 AM Well, my roommate finally left and took her dog. He managed to eat all of the columns on my front porch, some railings and some of the siding as well. Talk about eating you out of house and home.
wbholwell 03-14-2007, 8:36 AM Oh yeah, she's going to find them (hopefully), but that's her job. (I told her to put them up last week.) Also last night our home computer crashed and won't reboot, and I woke up this morning to find the floor of the bathroom/laundry room covered in water (somehow the waste line from the RO unit came out of the drain.) I'm having a great morning
flyingarmy 03-14-2007, 9:40 AM Man...what a time you are having! Just remember....it all comes out in the end! (Pun intended)
Melissa 03-14-2007, 1:36 PM I have a 6'x10' kennel I'm not using. It fits in the garage and has a chain link panel on the top too (for climbers). Works great - I had a dane that decided to munch on the trim around the doors. We won't be having that anymore. I was going to put it up on craigslist. Let me know if you're interested...much more humane than a crate.

Thanks for the offer. He's being crated right now only so that he can't poop without us collecting it. Usually he spends his day in the backyard. Hopefully we'll find the earings today or tomorrow.
Good luck with all of that. My dogs are expensive too...
one is allergic to cat and dog dander, yes, she is allergic to herself and she has had cataract surgery on both eyes... **** expensive...
The other is allergic to something in our grass!!! can you believe that!
What we do for our animals always amazes me
wbholwell 03-15-2007, 8:33 AM My dog pooped diamonds this morning! They were together, with only very slight damage and no diamonds missing. Whew, I'm relieved!

mitchelliii 03-15-2007, 4:34 PM Glad you got them back and I am sure the dog is happy to have them gone.

Flipturn88 03-16-2007, 10:44 AM Congrats, Bryan! And I bet you're just as relieved to not have to look for the diamonds anymore...

Yeah, it's better than a golden egg-laying goose! White Lab- I'll sell him to ya, make me an offer ;-)
JustOneMoreTank 03-16-2007, 7:45 PM You do know that he has to eat one or more diamonds to produce a diamond correct? :)
