Does your 58 have a center brace? If it does, a single lamp in the middle will cast a shadow.

Nope, Its an OLD SCHOOL Oceanic with thick glass and no brace. Someone with a 65g and a chiller will love that light.

Hey Jenn, I'd like to say before I get to my questions, I'm sad that the Aquapod wasn't listed before I came in Saturday, I so would of jumped on it before spending all my money, oh well, it wasn't destined for me.

Now for the questions.

Good QT/Hospital system for anyone - Asking $20Can you tell me what kind of hood? Is it a glass top, or like you would get from a Kit, an incandescent light hood? Is it just a normal HOB filter or another type? I looked at one once before had an internal filter that supposedly ran off an airstone, the strangest contraption I've ever seen, replaced it after a week.

AGA plastic stand for 10g tank. Sturdy, in great shape. Was $30 new. Asking $10Is this setup where it can be looked at? Also do you know the dimensions, will it fit in the back seat of a car or would I require a larger vehicle. I'm assuming setup or not, being a 10g stand it'll probably fit, but we know what happens when people assume. Also this is all theoretically assuming I decide to take it if available.

Sorry - they were still in the back waiting to be cleaned up when you were here - there was so much stuff we didn't know what all we had til we sifted though it... and there's still more odds and ends we're going through but I think we have most of the big stuff sorted/cleaned now.

The 10 g is a basic starter kit - I'll have to look if it's fluorescent or incandescent. Plastic hood, HOB filter, nothing weird there.

Yes all that is listed can be seenat the shop.

The tank can fit on the seat of a car and the stand can be taken apart if need be - it snaps together.

It's too big for a 120. It was on a 210 and it was tough to move. We had the acrylic version of the same size magnet on the 1000g and it took some moxy to move it.

Google "Ranco Controller" - you'll find plenty of info.

They are often used in HVAC but are also used on chillers and sometimes heaters.

It helps that we've been around awhile and can see the oldschool stuff, still functioning,and new technology. We can usually tell what will work and what is just the latest fad. We've come a long way in this hobby and like always there is a lot of snake oil and untested equipment with outlandish claims. Its good to have you around to help us sort thru this stuff.

i agree oldschool i dont know jenn that well yet but i do know she doesnt hold back when it comes to her honest and fair opinion on something.
