From Dallas, take Hwy 278 west. Just passed the new court house you will take a left onto Buchannon Hwy, there is a red light there. Go all the way down to the 4 way stop where you will see Rose's store. Take a left at the 4 way onto Hwy 101. In @ 4 miles you will see a marathon on the left, take a left at the next road, which is Masonic Dr. Almost immediately you will come to another 4way stop. This is pleasant Grove rd, take a left. My subdivision is on the left, Kings Crossing. I am the 4th or 5th house on the left, 186 Majesty dr.

Frags are not required, in fact a lot of folks will come just to hang out. You can announce what you are bringing and try to arrange a trade in advance, or just show up and chance it.

Uhh, Cliff, got any ideas how to get a freaked firefish out of the pump section of a Bio Cube? :eek:

Honestly, no....not sure of the layout of those things. How did it get there? Give me a better description of the space, and I'll see if I can help you come up with something...is one with everything on top? maybe unplug it for a few minutes and see if he will swim out?

The Bio Cube has three small chambers, barely enough to get your hands into at the back. One is for the pump, the next for filter media or rocks, and lastly the filter cartridge. I opened the lid up a little and he jumped right into the pump chamber. I've disconnected the pump, pulled the rubble out of the next chamber because there's a small space that's big enough for a firefish to get through. It's tight to get a net in. I'm just letting him sit there for now so I don't keep stressing him. He even ate after he went in too.

At least he's eating, I told you he was a pig!! I don't suppose you have one of those tiny nets that where made for situations like this do you?

I think the best advice I've heard should work on any size chamber... use filter floss/pillow stuffing ("fiberfill") and add it a couple of inches worth at a time, putting it at the bottom and making sure the fish isn't below it. As you raise the "bottom", the fish will have to stay higher and higher. Once he's up near the top, he'll be easy to catch and move. Though it should go without saying, take out the filter material when you're done.

Wish it were my idea... I could have used it before I spent an hour fishing for my clown in the overflow (though with 2 nets, a piece of eggcrate and some PVC pipe I finally got him). As long as it's all polyester I think it's pretty much the same stuff as filter floss.

He's out of the middle chamber (now blocked with fiberfill -- yay for sewing projects!) and back in the pump chamber. Considering that he zoomed back and forth between the two chambers, we're doing good. I think I'll have a soda and wait for him to figure out he can swim up.
