I have been a bit busy in the last few weeks and let my rotifer culture crash :( I tried to raise the cysts left in the bottom but no luck. Does anyone around the Alpharetta area have a culture? Ill throw a few frags your way. Thanks.

Will do. Anyone ever ordered from Brine Shrimp Direct? They have a few things I need so I might just buy a culture.

I'm up in Cumming and have a rotifer culture going. PM me and we'll set up a place to meet.

How much do you need?

Hello from Alpharetta. I have rotifers and would be more than happy to share the wealth....I also have Iso and Tet algae if you need any.

Yep, they're doing great now. I was a bit worried at first. You said that what you gave me was nice and dense so (without inspecting it) I dumped it in with 4 liters of tank water and 4 liters of Tet (My tet is not doing so hot right now, it was probably more like 1 liter of a healthy clutures' worth). The next morining, when I checked on it I was surprized to see that they had not eaten all of the algae yet so I took a closer look and the density was REALLY low. I was quite worried that I diluted it too much and it would not take off.

But they have been growing like mad. They are already up to ~ 25/ml. With any luck my pajama eggs will not hatch untill tomorow night. If they hatch tonight, I don't know if I will have enough...

I had a photo session with your rotifers last night....

Hmm.
They were fairly thick when I sieved them. Not super dense but around 10/ml. Wonder if the time without aeration didn't do some damage. That was a long trip around Atlanta that night, about 5 hours by the time I got to you.
But, all is is well that ends well! Good to see that they are doing well.
Follow Witt's suggestions to reduce their size before feeding them to the PJ's.
