This tank has been up for roughly a year and it is time for some upgrades and since I never did a build thread for this tank figured I would do one on the upgrades of it.

Display is all Clam and SPS a few acans but those are going in the womans 12g NANO DX do to intense flow and lighting in my tank.

Upgrades are the following swapping two Korila Hydor 4's for two Vortech MP40w (one is a MP20 but I am ordering the box to convert it to an MP40) Removing two 36inch actinic lights and adding two 48inch actinics
Swapping out my Octopus 110 Recirc Skimmer for ELOS NS1000 Simmer
Redoing rock work from a mass of jumbled rock to two islands to make room for a tang
Replacing my current tek reflectors with newer ones
Building a canopy to house my Lights
Adding a small refugium to my sump
Adding a battery backup to return pump
Adding 7g frag tank to system and redoing all of my plumbing to get rid of all of the tubing and go straight pvc.

Will take awhile on this upgrade thread but will start with some pics tonight and update of stock list.

And ultimately have the color of Mojo's and Acroholic's SPS...and get rid of the freaking brown ones that I can't get to color up

Chris

Sounds like some good upgrades. I'm also planning on a Vortech soon. You know the bunch here, there is interest, but without the eye candy, threads die.
