I've been trying to post them but continue to get an error message stating that I've exceeded my quota. Can someone tell me what the quota is? How can I reset it? glxtrix 02-25-2007, 2:19 PM its a lot easier if you have a source that you host your pics on and then use this tag to post them: then you type the link to the pic and end it off with but make sure its all in one line with no spaces mufret 02-25-2007, 2:23 PM Any suggestions on where to host them? WOLFIE 02-25-2007, 2:50 PM you may want to try photobucket.com It free and I been using it for about a year now leveldrummer 02-25-2007, 5:10 PM Any suggestions on where to host them?photobucket is very easy mike, just upload out of your "my pictures" folder, after they are on the site, you can copy the bottom tag under the picture. (the one with the[img] brackets around it, and just paste the whole thing on your post. and thats it. mufret 02-25-2007, 5:47 PM IMG]http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-005.jpg[/IMG] mufret 02-25-2007, 5:48 PM http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-005.jpg mufret 02-25-2007, 5:48 PM http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-004.jpg mufret 02-25-2007, 5:49 PM Well, I guess I could have closed the blinds! Didn't even notice that until after I posted the pics. mufret 02-25-2007, 5:50 PM http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-003.jpg mufret 02-25-2007, 5:51 PM http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-001.jpg mufret 02-25-2007, 5:52 PM Man, who knew it could be this easy! tsciarini 02-25-2007, 6:05 PM I knew you've been holding out on me.... mufret 02-25-2007, 6:14 PM Holding out on what? Broreefr 02-25-2007, 6:25 PM http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-003.jpg Just wondering where you got this Blue Acro ? ~ have been looking for one online but only find blue tipped ones. tsciarini 02-25-2007, 6:40 PM Holding out on what? the good stuff :) mufret 02-25-2007, 6:43 PM I won that as a small frag in one of the raffles at SWU. If I remember correctly it came from ORA and is a Turquios Stag. leveldrummer 02-25-2007, 7:37 PM it really is easy isnt mike! great looking setup man, now where is the rest of the stuff? mufret 02-25-2007, 8:03 PM Those are all from my 55. I'll get some pics of the 120 up in a bit. glxtrix 02-25-2007, 8:55 PM very nice tank mike mufret 02-26-2007, 7:41 AM very nice tank mike Thanks MattTVI 02-26-2007, 7:42 AM very nice, mike! try taking photos at night with as little light (aside from the tank light) as possible! mojo 02-26-2007, 11:06 AM Mike - I've switched your upload settings back to the basic version (also changeable in your UserCP)- the same type used at TRT. All known problems with the drag and drop image uploader have been fixed, but this version should work regardless of your computer. kappaknight 02-26-2007, 11:44 AM Fragging anytime soon? Xyzpdq0121 02-26-2007, 4:33 PM LOL, I was fixing to ask that too! Stroid 02-27-2007, 2:13 PM super nice stuff mike very nice mufret 02-27-2007, 2:23 PM I have fragged a number of the corals in that tank and will probably be "culling" a few more in the near future. Will let everyone know when that happens. Thanks everyone! SuAsati 02-27-2007, 8:35 PM I won that as a small frag in one of the raffles at SWU. If I remember correctly it came from ORA and is a Turquios Stag. Would you Put me down for a piece when you get ready to frag it. tsciarini 02-27-2007, 8:47 PM LOL!!! Now youve gone and done it Mike... Broreefr 02-27-2007, 10:54 PM LOL!!! Now youve gone and done it Mike... it was very kind of him to be thoughtful enough to share his lovely work with us we thank him for sure, it is indeed a lovely tank. It is in my opinion in poor taste to ask him here in a public forum to frag his hard work just for our selffish wants !!!!!!!!! We should be more respectful !! I had the decency to send a PM to him, way ahead of you guys and beg my BUTT off for some of the blue Acro - so I am first in line - so naa-naa-na-naa-naa. mufret 02-28-2007, 12:06 AM Not sure how the title of my thread changed but that is, now, more appropriate! (Thanks to whoever is responsible) I do appreciate everyone wanting a piece of my little tank and as things are fragged will make them available. To be fair, there are individuals (you know who you are) who have been on "The List" prior to me having the ability to post pics of my tank. Maybe I can start my own LE line and just make 1 frag a month of the different corals in the tank available :shades: Sprayin70 02-28-2007, 12:59 AM Very Beautiful Tank! It looks even better in person I can assure you of that. LOL! mufret 02-28-2007, 8:02 AM Well I've had so many questions regarding this coral, I went back the the person that handed it to me at SWU to try and help me identify it. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/mufret/55g2-26-07-003.jpg Per Jenn at Imagine Ocean, she believes it's an Acropora tortuosa - Blue Tort so I have misidentified it in the previous post. I did however remember correctly that it came from ORA. I had assumed it was the Turquoise because it was the one they had listed on there site that looked the closest to mine. I assumed the color difference might have been a result of it being under only T5s. rgzfly 02-28-2007, 11:53 AM Mike, I had a feeling you'd have a gorgeous tank. Maybe one day when I get the drywall and trim finished around mine, I'll be able to post pics of the 300 I started last year. Its really come along quite nicely. I just don't want to share it until I get the walls done. Its still sitting in a framed wall in my unfinished basement. Richard mufret 02-28-2007, 12:53 PM Hi Richard, Based on your setups before the move, I can't wait to see them. I'm in the same situation. The tank pictured, is my 55. I'm in the beginning stages of finishing my basement, and although unfinished, I already have a 120 setup down there. I've also already purchased a 180 that will go down there with the 120. The plan is to move the contents of the 55 to the 180 once it's ready. I just wish these sorts of things didn't take so long! rgzfly 02-28-2007, 2:06 PM Mike, If you know me, I'm the most impatient person when it comes to all this. However, I've had to realize to take things slow. The one good thing is I got the tank built into the wall and its pretty much done except the sheetrock on the outer wall and the trim. I would've had that done, but decided to put a central heat and air unit downstairs first. That way I don't have to pull out sheetrock. I'm most concerned about sheetrock dust, but think I can figure out a way to do it without it affecting the tank. I can't wait to show it off, I've worked real hard on it and think its turned out pretty well. I have I think close to 200 corals in all, with most being sps. The only problem is that we live another 20 minutes further out than we did before, so that'd be quite a drive for you. Maybe one day if you need something I can meet you near the interstate and drive you down here. That way you wouldn't have to waste all the gas. Can't wait to see yours when they're all done. I know they'll be spectacular. Richard izib 02-28-2007, 3:34 PM very nice tank. I noticed you had a flame angle, have you had any problems with him? kwl1763 03-03-2007, 1:19 AM Well I've had so many questions regarding this coral, I went back the the person that handed it to me at SWU to try and help me identify it. I assumed the color difference might have been a result of it being under only T5s. I'm not sure this is correct. You need to give it to me for observation :) sammy33 03-03-2007, 2:10 AM Mike - Wow! :goodjob: Beautiful colors on your corals and you have obviously done an excellent job keeping them that way. I would like to see some specs on your equipment (flow, lighting etc.) and some details on your husbandry practices (WC schedule, dosing etc.). :kewl: kappaknight 03-04-2007, 7:13 PM It is in my opinion in poor taste to ask him here in a public forum to frag his hard work just for our selffish wants !!!!!!!!! Heh, we're not being selfish at all... fragging help save reefs. It's a scientific fact or Newton's law or something... :fish: mufret 03-04-2007, 7:45 PM Hi Sammy, Thanks for the compliments! This is all in a 55g with the following equipment crammed into the stand and canopy: Lighting - 6 X 54w T5's, 4 SLS tek reflectors and 2 IceCap reflector (only way I was able to fit 6 over the 13" span). The 2 IceCaps are in front so I can get more PAR to the sandbed for my clams. IceCap 430 overdriving those 2 bulbs as well. The other 4 bulbs are currently being driven by a pair of workhorse 5 ballasts. Filtration is being provided by a DAS compact single sump that has a built in needlewheel skimmer (similar to the Deltec Turbo) as well as a small refugium. Return pump is an Eheim 1060. Knop C calcium reactor and Tunze Osmalotor w/ Kalwasser dispenser are used to provide the corals and clams the calcium they crave as well as keep the PH and alkalinity as stable as possible. Flow and directionality are provided by a seaswirl on the return and a Tunze 6060 in the opposite corner. I do biweekly water changes (most of the time!) of approx. 10g and only dose magnesium and strontium on an as needed basis. Flipturn88 03-04-2007, 8:23 PM Mike, if we had a TOTM on this site, your tank is the first I'd nominate. It's beautiful! sammy33 03-04-2007, 10:22 PM This is about the nicest 55g reef I have seen. T5 lighting has made quite an impact on the reefkeeping hobby. Your success with this tank is probably more than just the lighting...but I have more questions. What is your T5 bulb combo? How long has your tank been setup? When can I come by and see it? :yay: (PM me) mufret 03-05-2007, 12:12 AM Thanks Kayla! I truely humbled by all the compliments. Sammy, for the first 18 months or so, my lighting setup was a bit different in that I was overdriving 4 of the bulbs with an IceCap 660. The bulb combo then was 2 GE 6500k, 2 Aquablues and 2 actinics. When I changed out my lamps, I also reconfigured the ballasts to the current combination. My current bulb combo is 2 10ks, 2 Aquablues and 2 Actinic. I'm planning to change that up a bit in the near future and throw one of the GE 3000k bulbs into the mix. Will probably pull one of the actinics. The tank was started in 1/05 and, other than the Pagoda Cup, every coral in the tank started like as a frag. Anytime you want to make the trip to Canton, LMK. Nishant3789 03-09-2007, 11:14 PM great looking tank, i think the open blinds actually add a cool effect. It makes it seem somehow like theres alot more light in the tank |
