O.K. I said I was a country boy from Bama so now lets put it to the test.

I got my first true signs of the warm weather a comin, I started the day off with eight goats ~ This afternoon, I have fourteen, and counting. I got one that has yet to deliver.

What a day, newborn goats in the house before breakfast to show off to the wife, the little one in the pen strokin the babie's, she even got to see one born. Fresh goat droppins on the bottom of your boots. ahh... this is the life

Since I am a Tee-totler ~ somebody pop a brew for me, I mean six kids born in a day and more on the way, hell I think I could give Evander Holyfield a run for his money

Awwwww...congrats! I've been seeing all of the new lambs at the UGA livestock areas, and they are sooooo adorable. They bring a smile to my face every time I see them. I guess that's just because I grew up in south MS and went to college in Bama. Roll Tide Roll!!!! I won't admit to being a country girl, though ;)

Wow, congrats to you and your family on the new arrivals! My parents bred goats when they were first married and living in Virginia; people are always shocked when I tell them this, though, as my parents are definitely considered "city folk" now. Enjoy your new kids, and thanks for the reminder that spring is near! :)

All is good, the younglings are eating and even exploring the lay of the land, one of them found the electric fence and got a really good birthday whack.

Of course with good news it sometimes brings bad ~ this is my breeding males second go at it and he has produced well. It appears his services in the community are no longer needed, and well with the 4th of July bearing down on us. It looks like he may be just a burp on a lot of people's breath by the time the fireworks are lit that night.
