Beautiful. Lucky you. Has it settled? Are you feeding it? Do you plan to give it a clown fish?

Yes, yes and yes. There are already a mated pair of clowns in the tank, they just havent hosted yet because the clowns just got moved to that tank yesterday. I gave the RBTA a while to settle where it wanted to be so the clowns wouldnt bother it too much. But oddly enough they ignore it and go to the other end of the tank.

just wondering... and im sure someone will chime in and tell me im wrong and mine is an isolated case, but what side of the tank did you put them in? because i've noticed in my tank that my chromis chills in the middle which is where i put him, and my randall's goby and my 2 cleaners stay on the left side which is where i dumped them in at... just wondering if thats maybe what happened to you...

It really varies. I put my clowns in on the left side and they have chilled there a while. My other BTA's move ALL OVER THE PLACE but this one I put in the middle and he just move a few down to where he could put its foot under a ledge and has stayed. haha I guess just put stuff in where you want it to stay. But alot of times different animals in a tank kinda establish a territory that is theirs and stick to it.

Nice looking anemone! Keep in mind that a lot of times, bubbles will seem quite content in once location and then "randomly" (for reasons unknown) begin to roam. It's not always the case, but if they are unhappy with their location becaues of flow, lighting, etc., it can happen.

Brad, I know what you mean! I've had fish and inverts do the same, although usually they will settle out in various locations throughout the tank as time passes; it took my sexy shrimp a few weeks to find their frogspawn in a 12 gallon tank! Granted that's like 120g for most other inverts.

Oh trust me Kayla, I know about roaming anemones :) An incident with a MJ that got plugged back in accidentally ended in one big BTA becoming two BTA's. The increased flow made him decide to wanter around for a new place and his new place ended up being the impeller of the MJ. BTW how do you get your pics to have such high contrast btw the bright colors and the dark? It just seems like your colors stand out alot better than mine. haha next meeting you need to give me some tips.

Can I also line up for an Eagle Eye zoa down the road? I haven't set up my tank yet, but that's my favorite zoa I have to have.

It just seems like your colors stand out alot better than mine. haha next meeting you need to give me some tips. Lower your camera's exposure and increase the saturation. For each individual shot, play around with the settings, and eventually you'll get the right combo. For every semi-decent pic I post, I've taken at least 50 BAD ones. Hope this helps, and I can certainly show you a couple pointers at the next meeting - just bring your camera and track me down. :)

Nice to see it's doing well for you! Fortunately the bubbles seem to stay on this guys. I have had his parent for a couple years and he still has his bubbles!

Ya send me the picture file as big as you can and I'll try to edit it for you and repost.
