I'm new to the group and have read over some recent posts. Have you guys/gals ever done a club dive down to L.A. (Lower Alabama)? I would like to go dive the Oriskany off the coast of Pensacola, maybe at the end of the summer or just after Labor Day weekend so the big crowds are gone. Anyone interested?

I am going to the Keys with SeaVentures over Sept 24-27th. I have a few people already confirmed. Your more than welcome to join.

take extra tanks and lights if you really want to explore.
Keel depth is 220ft if I remember correctly, we did a single dive on two duals with another at 100ft for decompression.
I'd love to go back, but want to get a rebreather rig for longer bottom times.
Be sure to check with the divemaster well in advance if you want to do technical dives, we had a hard time finding a group to go with, and chartered our own boat. Cost more, but beats the poop out of having to swim for the beach. :)

I have midterms tomorrow and Wednesday so to blow off some stress I'm going diving at Panama City Beach this weekend. There is suposed to be some cool wrecks. I'll let you know how it is.

Oriskany is an ADVANCED dive......would not recommend for the 20 dive total crowd...

also, seas are pretty rough most of the time..it's a dive that needs a back up plan in case the boats won't go out.

I of course would love to do it....so I may like to go

we will have some tech divers at the bottom on mixed gas, and some like me that will stay on the tower..maybe touch the deck and head back up as well..

I'm back from PCB. I dove 2 bridge structures and 2 wrecks. It was neat.

I would like to do a club dive but i'm not ready for the O' yet.

I'd LOVE to dive the big O...matter of fact we were gonna dive it a couple weeks ago-but rough seas had us restrained....at any rate-interested, but don't know if I could go w/ my now pretty tight schedule.
