These are not intentionally breed, however they have breed in my 37g assumeably from eggs carried over in live rock....

I have found 2 very beautiful Aiptasia-Eating Nudibranch's in my tank that at the moment measure no more than 2-3mm (thats about 1/8-1/4 inch for imperialists). you can see a erazer from a pencil placed next to, to show size.

They are very beautiful and move increadably fast for their small size...

Hopefully in time they will keep any Aiptasia's I have at bay.

if you have no aptasias i'm pretty sure they will starve, maybe you could rent them to me. might be a good businees for you, Aptasia busters. :)

oooh.... now THAT has some potential!

Will these guys hunt down and kill aptaisia all over the tank, or will they stay put in one location?

They will die when the aptasia runs out. I did a lot of research about them and that is one of the biggest things.

If you have lots of aptaisia in your tank they will go all over it. But if there is a lot of space between them they might starve. Depends on your tank size. And you have to be aware that their life expectancy is not very long, 6-9 month I believe. In the wild they live a little longer.

aiptasia is their only diet. you have to keep a stock of them readily available for them to feast on. there is a rather in depth article on them on the wetwebmedia site i believe.

Berghia , Maybe?

Yes, it is the berghia that eats aptaisia. That is their only diet. How much space? I am not sure and hate to tell you something that is not correct. I would have to ask a friend who is breeding them.

Where can we get these? I am aiptasia infested and can provide lots of food for either.

Anyone interested in a powerbuy?

Is there a sponsor who can find out how to make this happen?

That is a aeolid nudi, not necessarily a berghia. It may turn out to only eats zoas, or xenia, or some indescript item. Dont assume it will just eat aiptasia.

Berghias, however, are given TOO much credit sometimes. If you have a notable aiptasia infestation, it will a LOT if Beghias to attend to them. I mean a LOT. They are not a panacea.

it has been stated to not scrape, pull, smash, aiptasia so as not to "annoy" them or they will spread worse, they exspell spores or something like that, thats how they spread. i would think that being eaten alive would be abit annoying to say the least ie spread like crazy. :lol2:

All's I know is that these mother-chickens are all over my tank, now. If it wasn't for the RBTAs in there, I would have pulled and replaced it already.
