I tried to get my discount the other day and I was denied. I do not have the card yet, but was told that my receipt would work and the vendors are aware of this...what's up? :(

Went there yesterday and got discount with my receipt of club membership. They had a good variety of fish and their prices were good too.

Skirtz, it could be that you just dealt with a different employee; not "discriminating against you".

I do agree and wish that they would consistently apply and honor their discount, even if you just have your receipt and not your membership card.

I'm pretty sure i was denied the discount because I used a had a gift certificate. Since they already had the money, they have no incentive on giving a discount. bad business practice!

Your best bet would be to talk to a manager at that store. We can make assumptions here on the boards all day but never know the full details. It could have been a simple misunderstanding. Try contacting someone at the store to see if they can help clear up any confusion.

I dealt with the owner's son (he seems to be the one that runs that place). He was well aware of the club discount and we discussed it. He told me that the reciept meant nothing to him and said he was told by the ARC that we MUST present the card to get the discount.

This is a family run business. there are no "employees" per se.

I still think they have some of the best pricing around, but price isnt everything. I will pay more out of principle.
