After spending it's first 18 consecutive hours in the display tank buried in the sand we finally had an appearance just after 2pm today. I joked with my wife that it's probably her fish since it seems to like to sleep in late as well lol.

We had been looking for a Christmas Wrasse for quite and while and I don't know that I had ever seen one this size, it's probably a little over 4 inches. Sorry for the lousy picture, the photographer and the camera probably both need to be upgraded.

Thanks again guys!

LOL you're welcome! I think this is the third one that Matt's gotten in in the last two months. I saw one of the first two but I had just picked up some Antias so I wanted to wait a bit.

Supposedly reef safe with these coming from the Marshall Islands, but if he snacks on a few snails I won't hold it against him.

Awesome picture, glad you like him, he is from the Marshall Islands so he should behave himself.

Mine loves to eat snails, he/she somehow gets the pointed end of my astria snails in the sand and then pulls out the snail! Crafty little buggers, but beautiful!
