ill try and go through my process to explain how my method works best for me and provide pics.
First we have mom and dad laying eggs in the pot and on the 7th night with temp ranging from 81-83 degrees I remove the pot to the hatching tank 2 hours before lights off. I put gloves on because they bite and bite, and now they jump out of the water to bite and they draw blood.

In the hatching tank i add rotifers and a tad bit of Instant algae (nannochloropsis 3600) from reed mariculture or similar. Place my rigid tubing so that the bubbles go over/in front of the eggs and not through them getting the eggs to bounce simulating the male fanning the eggs in the wild.

Lights go off for the night with no light visible in the room, no moonlights nothing complete darkness.
Remove clay pot in the morning, if bottom of tank has sediment vaccuum it, get new water dripping in the tank with Instant algae keeping the water tinted green. This helps in 2 ways. 1. it feeds the rotifers ensuring they are healthy fr consumption and 2 keeping the water tinted will keep the babies off of the wall and swimming around the tank.
heres the babies after the hatch

as they approach metamorphasis i start cutting back the algae weening them off of rotifers and onto otohime b1 and brine shrimp
