Well it's chiller time again for me. I run a 1/4 hp drop-in style and they last about 4 years. My question is will the inline chillers have a better life span? Noise and heat are no problem as the sump and tank are in a basement. I also do not understand why they are so much money. For the inline people how do you clean the heat exchanger? Any help with a brand would be helpfull. Thanks

I just know titanium coil is important. little condensed air should handle cleaining the radiator.

they are expensive as heck though. havent figured that out myself. you can get a 1ton home AC unit for as much as some 1hp chillers.

I just wonder, because I have always had drop-in styles, if the flex on the coil could be the problem. The units I have run are Aqualogic. I called them Friday ,very nice customer service, to get the high and low presures and amount of freon. I will try to fix this one but not looking good. I've heard tradewind are good units.
