lol, I love it, but then again, I didn't have much choice when lighting this tank.

on a side note, I just added that fan the other day dropped my temps by like 4 degrees. amazing what a little $10 fan can do. I just wish I didn't have to bolt it to the wall :doh:.

I'm battling a light green algae that loves the glass, but thats it, it stays off the rock and sand, but the glass is fair game. I cannot reach everything with the scraper for fear of messing up one of the 6 silicone seams, so its not as clean looking as I'd like, but I keep moving in the right direction (one step at a time).

first day I actually did any real testing on my own in a while (feels good) lol.

PH- 8.0 (my tanks always run low...?) (api)
KH - 7 (api)
phosphate - 0 (seachem)
amonia, nitrate, nitrite - 0 (api at lfs)
Calcium - 375 (IO)
silicate - 0* (TM)

* An expired (07/08) test kit that I won at the christmas dinner thing. I just realised it was expired so I thought I'd use it at least once before tossing it even if I'm not sure what I'm testing for :) nor do I know if they're valid as it is expired...ah well.

That's a really nice hex you've got there. Keep us posted with new pics as you add. BTW..the sea fan is doing quite well. Lot's of purple coming out. Thanks...very much.
