Crowe 04-18-2009, 11:01 AM Thats a really nice set up
puttyman 04-18-2009, 11:21 AM SWEET! I recently visited Einstien's and saw all the Elos tanks. When done right these tanks can be a work of art.
cfrank84 04-18-2009, 4:43 PM im so jealous!!! cant wait to see how this progresses
stacy22 04-18-2009, 6:17 PM Clint, those tanks are beautiful! I cannot wait to see all your cool stuff moved into this new tank.
Also, I notice you have SAND! :D
weaglereefer 04-18-2009, 6:21 PM Looks very sharp! Out of curiosity, why didn't you do anything to the back glass (paint, acrylic, etc)? It would be a bummer to have the Vortech cable ruin the clean look.
ace1204 04-18-2009, 7:07 PM I like the euro look with a clear back glass may add tint later, you wont be able to see the vortech cable anyways it runs under the tank to the dj strip not across the back :D
ace1204 04-18-2009, 7:09 PM Yes stacy i went with sand on this one just a little bit just to see how it feels lol
that's awsome...can't wait to see more pics
JetChris 04-18-2009, 8:24 PM nice setup bro! looks like a pretty penny!
Dakota9 04-18-2009, 8:37 PM Can we get a pic from the top of the tank? I wanna see that overflow area.....
Personally, I'd shoot for a bit more live rock, but thats just me......
Great Tank
glxtrix 04-18-2009, 9:08 PM Yes stacy i went with sand on this one just a little bit just to see how it feels lol
I'm revoking your club BB card.....tisk tisk tisk. Lol, just messing around, I know you'll be back soon enough. This tank is going to look really great when you're done.
twocute2b4u 04-18-2009, 10:20 PM Sweetness - you can't go wrong with an ELOS.
I love the unpainted clean look. That's gonna be soooo sweet
ace1204 04-19-2009, 1:21 AM Can we get a pic from the top of the tank? I wanna see that overflow area.....

Great Tank
Yeah i have a few more large pieces that are soaking in a bucket to get some of the deadness off first before i i put them in the tank and i may put a few pieces from the Solana in there.
And thank you everyone else for the complimets im super excited to get this thing started. Its the tank i have always wanted since i started reefing and got my first tank year ago lol
Looks great as usual my man. Never disappoints. I can't wait to get my new set-up off the ground. The tank(s) are coming Wednesday if my boss ever orders them.
Derek_S 04-19-2009, 8:30 AM Looks great.

weaglereefer 04-19-2009, 12:34 PM I'm ordering that one this week hopefully. From all my research, it's quite powerful for the price.
one just a little bit just to see how it feels lol
haha I had a pretty good laugh
Atlanta Aquarium 04-19-2009, 1:31 PM Very nice, Clint.
jhutto 04-19-2009, 3:21 PM I have the reefkeeper 3 lite. It was an absolutely pain in the butt when I got mine initially. There were bugs in the program and the documentation was very, very poor and still is. Its one of those things. I have a Reefkeeper 2 and it was so much easier to program. Appears to be powerful but be prepared for a learning curve. The DA team is always positive on their product but their support was/is slow. You mostly have to deal with the support forum and read through things to figure it out on your own.
weaglereefer 04-19-2009, 3:41 PM Yeah, I've read the current bugs are fixed. I sent an e-mail at 3pm on a Friday afternoon and received a response before five, so it's not that slow. I don't think I'll have a problem figuring it out on my own as I've been reading a good bit about it and people seem happy once it's set up.
jhutto 04-19-2009, 4:30 PM took them about 10 days to respond to me. That was when they were having issues and trying to figure it out. I got one of the first ones shipped.
ace1204 04-19-2009, 7:36 PM Thanks guy im gonna take my chances and order one tonight. Added 30lbs more rock today so 4 pieces total now ill have pics up once i scape it in a way that i like it.
puttyman 04-19-2009, 8:03 PM The coolest thing I have seen is th AC3. You can get an app for your iphone and control things from there. I think that kind of goes with your tank, sleek and modern.

Too bad its ugly as sin and i sold my iphone lol
weaglereefer 04-19-2009, 8:11 PM Do you change phones as often as you change tanks?
ace1204 04-19-2009, 8:12 PM i change everything that often i have a problem with commitment. . .lol
weaglereefer 04-19-2009, 8:17 PM Wait, and you have tattoos?
I'm looking forward to your impressions on the RKL. If the government takes any longer to send my refund, I can just buy yours used, when you switch to the RKE, lol.
puttyman 04-19-2009, 8:34 PM Too bad its ugly as sin and i sold my iphone lol
Yeah it is pretty commodore 64ish. But the iphone app is so cool.
BTW, why did you sell your iphone? I just got one.
sailfish 04-19-2009, 9:27 PM Nice set up!
Joe
Akopley 04-19-2009, 11:03 PM I am getting rid of my iphone also. Blackberry's are much better for email, web browsing, and texting. The Palm Pre looks pretty nice but I think you have to be on Sprint for that bad boy.
ace1204 04-19-2009, 11:08 PM Mine actually broke didnt mean to put sold, so i got the blackberry storm since i work at verizon i was tired of not being able to have it out on the floor, anyways back to topic people lol

Smoothie 04-20-2009, 12:53 AM Good luck bidding. Since they are in ATL are you getting a shipping discount?
ace1204 04-20-2009, 12:54 AM Auction is over I Already bought them lol
Ace of Spades 04-20-2009, 12:58 AM Nice pickup. Was watching those myself on the bay.
Smoothie 04-20-2009, 1:05 AM Yep talked with him a few days ago about selling on here. Says he is looking into it with the heads. Maybe a sweet deal in the long run.
Great job ace! Did you ask him to come down on the shipping or possible pickup m**?
ace1204 04-20-2009, 2:27 AM Yea he came down on it for me im pretty excited about these, they appear to be gorgeous
Smoothie 04-20-2009, 2:33 AM Yeah and are his babies. Won't be offered again for awhile.
Wish I didn't forget to check my watch list, but then again from reading your posts you are a great dude and a stand up member so who better else to get them?
Keep us updated on some pics
ace1204 04-20-2009, 11:15 AM Thanks for the kind words
rostato 04-20-2009, 7:24 PM Your gonna love the NS500 skimmer. I have an NS1000 on my 90, amd its nice. VERY touchy to get dialed in though...took me two months.
ace1204 04-20-2009, 9:34 PM yeah its already foaming up pretty good now
rostato 04-20-2009, 11:33 PM How did you tune yours? I don't have the manual so I am just playing with it. It does really well, but wanna make sure I am not missing something.
ace1204 04-20-2009, 11:38 PM made sure the spray bar underneath the collection cup was facing down and adjusted the air hose knob until it looked like it would start producing foam then let it bed its skimming a little wet but there is no livestock in the besides the 4 large pieces of rock
rostato 04-21-2009, 9:31 AM Sweet. I added a tube to the outflow to quiet it down, and help with salt spray. Now its almost silent, and skims like mad.
Ace of Spades 04-21-2009, 2:22 PM Have you decided on what bulb combination you're going to be using?
ace1204 04-21-2009, 8:37 PM Im not sure what i want my next set to be im happy with color the current settup of ATI and Geismann bulbs
ace1204 05-08-2009, 2:53 PM Finally got all of my livestock transferred today :D

glxtrix 05-08-2009, 3:05 PM Looking awesome man!
Akopley 05-08-2009, 3:24 PM Looks great. Have you considered running the light wire up the mounts and out of sight? Would make your setup look even cleaner.
Acroholic 05-08-2009, 3:30 PM Rock looks great Clint. Nice job on the aquascaping.
Dave
ace1204 05-08-2009, 3:40 PM Looks great. Have you considered running the light wire up the mounts and out of sight? Would make your setup look even cleaner.
Mounts? The light is hung from the ceiling im not sure what your referring to? please explain
ace1204 05-08-2009, 3:42 PM Looking awesome man!
Thanks Lee
Rock looks great Clint. Nice job on the aquascaping.
Dave
Thanks Dave, Im not sure im done with it yet may remove one of the pieces in the center this was a pretty quick aquascape today, and obviously i havent placed any of the corals yet im letting them adjust to the t-5's first
Akopley 05-08-2009, 4:03 PM Run the electrical up the wire that holds the light and then run it along the border between the wall and ceiling. Might seem excessive but gives a clean look to the fixture. Another method is to drill a hole in the wall directly behind the light fixture and run the power wire through it. That way you don't see it at all. If you have an outlet behind the wall then you can pull it off. Some guy on RC did it and it looked great. I will try and find the thread so you can see what i am talking about. Either way the tank looks awesome.
traylor23 05-08-2009, 4:42 PM Looks awesome, Clint! I'd say the aquascaping is kickass as is!
Matt
Nice. I'm off today and tomorrow, may have to come see it in person!
