For those of you that did not see the thread on Bluespot and mimic blenny compatability, Chris offered to perform a little experiment for the wife and I. (She loves bluespots and I have to say I find it hard to disagree with her) :DHe brought in a bluespot jawfish and housed it for a week with a Red Sea Mimic Blenny to make sure they were going to do okay together as I got the blenny about a month ago. When I got to the LFS today the two fish were living together under the same shell.

Needless to say our Bluespot came home tonight :yay:(Booberry) AKA "the muffin man" as my wife has named it). We acclimated for an hour and a half, piled up some rubble next to a small cave that has a sand bed in it and released him into the tank. He went right into his new den and was excavating in less than 5 minutes time:up:

This little blue spot is amazing to watch, he has already filld in his old cave entrance and has opened a new entrance on the other side of his rock tower so that our fox coral acts as a giant awning for him. Way too cool. i'll get some pictures when he stops clouding the water with sand.

If you have not been to his store lately, he has his new frag tank setup, very easy viewing and the invert racks of course are up and going well.

For mushroom lovers, he is talking about getting in some amazing orange shrooms, from what I understand not ricordias, that he said would "make the reds I have look black they are so bright"

Keep your eye out.

Plantman, you are going to love the jawfish. He will work 25 hours a day on that burrow! They are beautiful too. Can't wait to see pictures! :)

I want to know where he is getting all that sand from, it's like he is manufacturing it. He has 4" to play in there but my gosh the inside of that cave can't be more than 2.5" diameter.

He must be trying to hook up with the pistol on the other side of the tank. Tunneling buddies. (hope not, that's still one evil pistol shrimp):unsure:

Hope to make it out to that store ONE day, but it's quite the drive!

Man these blue spots are amazing, I was going to put the other one in my 120 but I will not be able to enjoy him and watch him so I am thinking the 300 might be better.
