I'm considering trying my hand at hardy, low-maintenance corals. I use only basic full-spectrum lighting on my aquariums. Because I'm very new to corals, I don't have anything to trade and because of the lighting, I'd like to find inexpensive frags of hardy species. Anyone know where I might be able to find inexpensive frags to try? Thanks!

At most meetings, you have people giving away frags...just let them know what your setup is, so you don't get anything that is not suited to your tank....If you don't have metal halide, I would try some softies or lower light SPS frags such as montipora...just put them high in your tank...but still would not have any SPS unless you have power compacts or VHO at a bare minimum....

If you have normal output lighting...some softies or mushrooms will be OK.
