I went to the Avarium this weekend. It is a nice place, although the main focus (1/2 of the building) is on the birds (hence the name). They do have a stock of marine and freshwater fish although it is small. They had a fair stock of tank accessories, and they appear to be trying to build on the marine area.

I just picked up a couple of test kits yesterday. They were scattered around in different locations, but, they had a few different brands to choose from and the pricing was fair.

Also, a completely different staff than I have seen before. Even though they were not helpful in anyway, I was actually greeted when I entered (this is a first)! Although when I went to check out, one guy just looked at me and then turned the other direction. Another gentleman then came over and tendered me out.

Does Tommy still work there? He really helped me out when I was setting up my first tank way back when.

tom still works there and they are working on their aqu. area i think because they are getting more coral and its starting to look better mac retired and i think his daughter runs it now but they have always been a great store if they dont have it they will get it if you ask
