Thanks! I've heard you have to be carefull killing/removing this. Something about it you do it wrong it will release hundreds of others?

What's the easiest way to do this?

Kill it with fire!!!!

No the easyest way is to take pickeling lime and make it into a paste and rub it on it

If only fire worked in water! :)

Where might one find pickeling lime? I can take the peice of rock out of my tank to do this since there is nothing in the tank at this time. Should make it easier work with?

Thanks again everyone!

Kroger, Mrs. Wages pickeling lime or you can use kalk powdered mix it with a little RO water and use spread it on. How big is your tank?

I've also injected a super saline solution into them and it seemed to have worked. Also have used the seachems calcium solution. Just make sure you have a good needle and inject at the base.

Joe's Juice is will be. I stopped by Marine Design today and found Joe's Juice so I figured I'd give it a try. I am going to remove the peice of rock from the tank and inject that little sucker.

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice.

Call me stupid........

The way i kill aptasia is sucking them up with a turkey baster..... Any spores that might be released (personally thinking this to be an urban reef legend) would also get sucked into the whirling vortex of ye old turkey baster. Then I open the back door, squeeze, shoot and score on my back driveway.....

Joe's Juice worked like a champ! I found 3 more and feed them all. Gone within 30 seconds. The turkey baster idea is interesting as well.

I might get a pepermint shrimp in the coming weeks and let him work his magic on any thing that might be hiding. Unless of course anyone has a better suggestion?

I've heard peppermint shrimp do quite a good job on them. I've known about other cases and they took care of all of them in a couple of weeks.

had good results with Joe's Juice. I do like the turkey baster idea. Ill try that the next time. I saw the biggest aiptasia I've ever seen in a tank at Anni-Mart last week. The thing had a head the size of a 50 cent piece. Nasty!!
