jason,
Welcome to the club! Nice idea on the fake urchin! I think I will steal that idea for my next batch. Good luck with the little guys... be sure to watch the ammonia levels in the 5G tank (they can build up fast) and try to feed only as much NHBS as you see them eat in a few mins time, I feed mine several times a day but small amounts and that seemed to work pretty well.

Not a good idea to start the kids out on cable ties. Soon they'll be yelling for bungie cords and then before you know it, they'll want the state of the art tie-downs from Grainger. You're asking for trouble when you spoil those young'uns!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA...nice. Congrats on the fry...they are too cute! I have 1 BC and he always hangs around my squammy because of its striped pattern...he's prolly so confused, lol.

I'd be glad to help a neighbor out and take them off your hands when they get a little too big to handle. :D

Will I hate to say it but I have lost 6 of my 11 Babbie's.Apparently they got too close to the filter intake and were sucked into it.
I have put a piece of sponge around it so they can't get to it any longer and they remaining 5 seem to be fine.

Bummer dude! I use wedding veil wrapped around the intake to keep them out. Sponge would work as well but may clog faster. Good luck with the remaining ones! Z
