Im in need of new T5 bulbs and am actually on the site about to buy them, but i am a little confused as to what is the better brand of bulb? The brands to choose between are AquaPerfekt, ATI, Deltec Geismen, Koralen Zucht, UV lighting, and "other". Im thinking abot getting two blue plus, one super acinic, and one aquasun for my bulbs. Is this a good combo? I would like a little blue but not an overpowering amount. Thanks in advance, cant wait to see my coral under new lights!

From what I read, and from tanks I've seen, I like ATI, Koralen Zucht, and Geissman in that order.

I'm running Geisman now, but will switch to one of the other two next go around, or if i get itchy for new bulbs.

I have a 48" aquasun you can have for $10 at the meeting. Too pink for my taste, but I didn't have much blue to balance it out. Only had it on for about a week.

Another bulb to look at is the aquablue special. It's very white with a hint of blue and VERY bright.

I have a blue plus, a super actinic, an aquablue special, and a UVL 75/25 and the look is still a little pink/purple for my taste, but it's growing on me.

Thanks for the offer au but i have a 24 inch fixture. How blue are the aqua blues? Would two aqua blues and two blue plus be way to much blue? LIke i said i just want a small hint of blue. My current daylight bulbs are vary yellow and i hate it.

I like the ATI bulbs I have. I will not be purchasing any more UVL bulbs.
