Is this normal my fire fish is hidding all day and when he comes out he only comes out for a second.If you know please tell me.:unsure: :unsure:

If he is new to the tank, than yes. they are very shy and take a bit to fully acclimate to their new surroundings. Once settled, they are still timid but come out a lot more.

Sounds about right. I added one two Saturdays ago, and after putting him in didn't see him until I was feeding yesterday morning.

Yea, they are pretty skidish when first introduced, but will be out more as they get used to their new home. the smallest one will let me do just about anything in the tank before shooting back to his bolt hole when i go near him

Mine isn't shy, but before the bigger one of the two died, he (the bigger one) was shy. he dart to his safe house then slowly would come out, kinda miss the guy, but I don't know if I will get another firefish to give the one I have now a friend.

Our firefish is so shy we rarely see it, unless we look in the biocube fuge - it jumps in there every other day.

i took mine back for store credit after 2 weeks of not seeing it...

Mine hid for about four weeks. They were the only fish in the tank. Now they're out all the time.
