The ocean is a crazy place.. But thats why I love it. There's so much more we have no clue about. Have you herd of an OAR Fish? OMG this thing is scary. yeah we studied those in my oceanography class family reefer 01-25-2007, 9:17 PM Saw that in the ABC morning news this morning. Seems they are rarely photographed because they are usually at a much greater depth. Kool!! Sprayin70 01-25-2007, 9:39 PM Has anybody seen a viper fish? Those look scary! Great link. FishyBusiness 01-25-2007, 9:43 PM Has anybody seen a viper fish? Those look scary! Great link. That is my favorite fish. Ive got tons of pics of them and will eventually have a full sized one tattooed on the side of my body. One day I'll have a tank for one too  Vettesarebest 01-25-2007, 9:44 PM Yeah,,, They are,, IMO almost everything that lives in the deep is scary! If you haven't already I would Google the OAR fish. They are weird. Sprayin70 01-25-2007, 9:49 PM That's awesome! I am glad there are other viper lovers out there!!! It is the neatest fish! I will check out the ORA later. Vettesarebest 01-25-2007, 9:51 PM Yeah I lik ethe fish but, Not the car. donnyholland 01-25-2007, 10:00 PM ok so like they wonder why it died lol.. It lives like 600-1000 m under water which is like lets say is 75-100+ atms.. So from 100 atms to 1 atm (atm=atmospheric preasure) is totally insane. If a human comes from 4 atms to 1 too quickly we die. I can't see how that thing lived as long as it did... /d Vettesarebest 01-25-2007, 10:09 PM Well it was already in shallow water when they caught it. So it must have been sick. Plus IMO it is good that they brought it into captivity. This is how they will learn about it and maybe one day we can keep them in our tanks. LOl um no. But in order to learn about them we need to take chances. tsciarini 01-25-2007, 10:13 PM That is my favorite fish. Ive got tons of pics of them and will eventually have a full sized one tattooed on the side of my body. One day I'll have a tank for one too  Why does this not suprise me? :shades: brad 01-25-2007, 10:16 PM yeah, i love the viper fish! and i think it would have died either way, but its kinda cool they got to observe one alive, i dont think there was anyshortage on them before they had just never been photographed alive... it said they got brought up in nets all the time tsciarini 01-25-2007, 10:19 PM it looks like it has the bends :) |
