Really just depends on what kinda fish they are and what filteration you are running and if you keep up with Maintance

Gobys are cool, Lawnmower Blennies have tons of personality, of course clowns are a good safe bet..Some wrasses would work...and I am a big fan of Scissortails...

Not saying you could use ALL of these, just some options..

A good Goby/Pistol shrimp combo would be awsome also!!

Welcome aboard.. If you need anything shoot me a PM and I will try to help

short answer... about 4-5 SMALL fish and about 2-3 medium fish. No large fish. But look above for the long answer! ;)

I'm sure you can fit 5-8 tangs in there. but their advice may be better.

Why don't you make a list of fish that you like, and we'll halp you formulate a good stocking plan?

Tangs are not an option.

Sorry, but most tangs requires a lot of space to swim about in - minimal size would be 75 gallons but they are better off in a 125g or larger tank. There is one exception: a Tomini Tang doesn't get much bigger than 3-4 inches and it is reef save.

Before I broke my 30 gallon tank down, I had a tomini tang, two clownfish, a blue damsel, and a bicolor blenny in it. To keep bio-load down, did routine water changes every week and did other maintenance as needed.

You can fit at least 10 or 12 fish in there.

a word of advice-error on the side of being conservative. Take it slow when adding fish to your new tank and test your water often (at least during the first several months). A tank that small can go south pretty fast and you want be sure to not overload your system. Remember-just because its small right now doesn't mean it will be small forever and factor in its mature size. Ask questions on here and for the most part people are honest and willing to help you in any way.

This is one of those "I'm only going to listen if it's what I want to hear threads". :D

I have a flame wrasse pair, clown pair, neon goby, and flaming prawn goby pair. I do have a deltec skimmer and do weekly 20% water changes, and the tank i soon to be bare bottom again. My tank if a 34.
