There is no cover charge at the Aquarium Center, just cold beer or wine. No pressure on sales, you can just relax and check out the show tanks. Enjoy youself and relax. Hope to see you soon.

FYI...having an alcohol license has nothing to do with whether or not you serve minors. It has to do with whether you sell alcohol at all.

I hate to be "that guy" but you are putting yourself at risk for a civil suit should anyone get intoxicated at your store and hurt someone as a result. Georgia has the "dram shop" law that can (and has) been used to sue those who serve alcohol to visibly intoxicated people. I know you would never keep giving beer to a guy that is stumbling around your store drunk, but trust me you'll never win the "was he visibly drunk" argument against a team of lawyers.

".....when serving a customer in an Atlanta, Georgia liquor store, bar, restaurant, or club, or serving a guest at a private party, the proprietor or social host has a responsibility to avoid serving alcoholic beverages to a person who is visibly intoxicated. If the intoxicated person is served, and causes a drunk driving accident or assaults a person, the victim can bring a civil claim against the server (and the server’s employer) under dram shop liability laws."

It doesn't matter whether it's sold or given for free.

I believe they have a one-per limit as well. If you get intoxicated on 1, then...hmmm...

But I guess it could happen.

Unless ur a 2 feet tall and weigh 50 lbs... I dont know how you would get intoxicated. Plus I doubt Trey would let a intoxicated member leave his store w/o some worries. I think they'll probably get chucked into teh bathroom until the sober up.

I commend Trey for his generousity (sp), it sounds really fun for a grp of fellow enthusist to have a new drink together. So PLEASE PLEASE do not abuse this under any circumstance. I want to eventually get my butt over there... buy a fish and have a drink... maybe buy some more fish after the drink... SO DONT YOU RUIN THIS FOR ME! >,>

Wait wait wait. Did I just read its free? What is the limit? Lord knows after 3 or 4 money starts to lose all meaning and seems to fly out of the wallet!

Rededge- Maybe you should be more worried about the drinking at the club meetings.

Our complimentary beer is for "responsible adults" that would like a beverage while browsing the store and waiting to be helped. We are a small store with only one or two workers if your lucky. We know that the members that have actually been to our store understand this and don't take it that far. Remember this is a fish store, not a bar.

But you are correct in that I see the situation you described above at almost any bar on any given night.
