View Full Version : Another 3 gallon build
kelloggreef 12-04-2008, 8:33 PM After seeing all the threads of nano builds, I had to have one.Wish I had waited to buy aces tank, thats a good deal.Anyway, Its the Picotope 3 gallon with a coralife 50/50 36 watt light. I had to have the black sand but everything else came out of my 210 tank even the water. The rock came out of my refugium and is covered with feather dusters. Its been going for about a month now and the only trouble Im having is the heat from the lights. At night I add a heater and take it out during the day.Its a fun tank to have and water changes are cake, just a big glass of water every friday from the big tank and 1/2 cup of RO water a night for evaperation. Here are some pics.
shromy 12-04-2008, 9:07 PM sweet very cool tank. not as nice as your 210 but very nice.

ace1204 12-04-2008, 9:52 PM its like a mini mag float, perfect for the small size of a pico, they have a bunch of different colors too.
aquaholic 12-04-2008, 11:07 PM Hi,
nice Pico, i have one too, just wondering what you are using for water movement other than the stock PF, if any? Also, you using any media at all in the PF? Thanks
kelloggreef 12-04-2008, 11:22 PM The water movement is stock as is the filter.I would of thought flow should be better but everything is happy.
kelloggreef 12-10-2008, 9:27 PM Just added the ac70 that I bought from Ace. The flow is crazy. Im going to make it an acan frag tank.
Scubagirl12 12-10-2008, 10:21 PM so you have an anemone and a clam under PCs? did i read that correctly? please tell me your secret!
kelloggreef 12-10-2008, 10:39 PM Its acually alot of light for as small as it is.The clam is real happy and the anemone has moved around to find his spot. He seems to be fine though.
stickx911 12-10-2008, 10:44 PM please tell me your secret!

GTKolenko 05-16-2009, 10:58 PM Do you have you AC70 filter running just as stock filter or as a fuge? I wanted to beef up my filter on my pico and got the ac70 from what I saw on the Pico section of Nanoreef.com
downtime89 12-20-2009, 8:29 PM nice
dagtaggart 01-14-2010, 9:24 PM any nitrate problems with two fish in such a small tank? i wanted to get a pico but was discouraged because i was told i couldn't put more than a small damsel in it.
atreyu917 01-14-2010, 10:14 PM The clowns and nem are very cute!
kelloggreef 01-14-2010, 10:24 PM I took this tank down awhile back and put everything into my 210g display.
