Anyone been? My family (my parents and I) is planning a trip in May along with 2 other couples. Where did you stay? Who did you dive with? Any tips?
We are looking at renting a 4 bedroom villa possibly in Cap Estates. Possibly diving at Dive Fair Helen. And renting a car. We already rented one but have now read that a 4x4 is recommended, which is of course a lot more expensive.
Its so hard to know what part of the island to stay on until you actually visit an island.

For accommodations, I've had excellent results using VRBO.com. I've found places both nationally and internationally. I don't like hotels, so this allows me to find a house or condo for less $$$ than I would have spent on a hotel anyway.

My husband and I went to Antigua for our honeymoon, and meet a couple that got married at St. Lucia while we were there. They said it was beautiful, but nothing to do. So, they came a short ride up to Antigua for more people interaction and entertainment. As for where to stay, Sandals Resort most definantly. The food and entertainment get expensive quick. The all-inclusive resort is the best way to go. We stayed at the Sandals in Antigua and although we paid all up front, we saved so much money after a 10 day stay.

Also be careful of where u stay and the security surrounding the resort. The crime in the carribean is on the rise and has been for a few years. Wherever you decide to stay just keep this in mind.
