I just ordered 2 sets of bulbs from reefoptics.com this morning(14k and 20k so I can compare them)

Has anyone used these bulbs?

How do you like or dislike them?

I will take pics of my tank now and then with the 14k set and the 20k set and then show you guy's the differance.:thumbs:

I assume you mean Halide bulbs?? What is the brand of bulbs and are the single ended or double ended? What wattage?

Unfortunately, the K rating on a bulb is misleading. One makers 20K bulb might look like another's 14K bulb. To make things even more confusing, just because that makers bulb looks that color in a 175W does not mean that it will look the same color in a 400W.

If you post those specs, I am sure that someone here has used them and can give you their experience.

They are MH single end bulbs and these are their brand that they have manufactured somewhere, the wattage is 175 and 400.
I have (2) 400 w on the two sides of my tank and (1) 175 in the middle because I think (3) 400's would cause a heat issue.
These are pretty cheap ($238.00 shipped for (6) bulbs) and that's why I am wondering if anyone has used them and if not I would post a (report) about what I find out.

Sounds like they are chinese made then.. (Read: ebay bulbs) Problem with them is quality. I have seen two chinese bulbs come in and be two very different colors even though they are supposed to be the same. Par rating on most of them are not the best either. I hate to say it.. I am all about saving a buck or two but you sometimes get what you pay for in bulbs. Try them out and let us know how they work!
