Ok so first question. I hooked me my 2.5 gallon refugium up to my ten gallon nano last night and everything is looking is looking great. Now, for lighting, I have a 20" hood light that orignally came with the tank when I bought it. I was wondering if I could use it for lighting. Any thoughts?


Second question. Will the starfish be ok in my 10 nano? I want it but I want to make sure it will be ok and it wont bother the other tank inhabitants.
2 FireFish, 1 Turbo Snail, 5 Astraea Snail, 7 Blue Legged Hermits and a Zoa Frag and a Feather Duster.

And just a side question for anyone who knows, where can I find the Ga state and local laws online? I cant seem to get it through google.

I can't be sure, but that appears to be a sandsifting star. If so, you need to remove it. Sell it.

That star (if my id is correct) will kill & eat everything beneficial in your sand bed, and then will starve & die.

I didnt get it yet, I was just making sure first. So good thing I didn't get him. What about the lighting for the refugium?

I have had great success with the screw in fluorescent lights at HD and Lowes. Look for a Kelvin rating of 5000-6500k and it should work well. The just pick up a cheapo desk lamp from there as well that takes a screw in type bulb and your done.
