Just wanted to let everyone on the ATF know how Fish Scales went above and beyond on customer service, I have been wanting an octopus for sometime. I finally found one atFish Scales. Chris, the owner, had a baby pygmy octopus in a 24 gallon Nano and he was willing to sell the whole set up. We negotiated a price and my dad drove me up to Fish Scales Saturday. Great store, Chris, his family and friends were very helpful. We loaded up our new prize and headed home. We got home and my Mom need to go to the emergency room (no biggie, she’s ok). While she was getting ready, Dad and hurried to set up the Nano and get the octopus back in his home. Dad filled the tank (in my room on the second floor) and attempted to get the octopus in the tank. The octopus refused and stuck himself to the bucket. Dad was in a hurry, so he tried to nudge him with a finger. That when everything went bad! The octopus nipped Dad’s finger (not even a mark). Dad jerked his hand away and his elbow hit the corner of the Nano. Crack! He broke the cube! Water was leaking everywhere! We used every towel in house and clean up the mess. However, we had a big dilemma, no tank for the octopus.
I called Chris (it was about 8:00 pm). Chris had another nano and met me half way to give it me ( We live 40 miles from Chris). What a guy!!!. Thanks again Chris!
