Here's the 150g sump, SEA frag tank(it's 3/4", not 1"), MR-3R Dual skimmer, and the 20g low/short tanks.

The sump is a standard 150 gallon, drilled in two spots on the back wall and divided. It was used for two seperate QT systems.

The 20g tanks are drilled on the back. They were part of our old QT system. The actual number we have has yet to be determined. :) I'm pretty sure it's about 10.

Where are you located? AKA, how do I go about picking up the 20G tanks?

They're standard All Glass 150 gallon tanks. 72"x18"x28" (lxwxh)

The new one is not reef ready. The used one has a side overflow, black background, and is reef ready.

It has 4x1" bulkheads for the closed loop and 2x1" bulkheads for returns. 1.5" input for closed loop, and 2 x 1" drains.

David, that's horribly inappropriate, and per our discussion, I had hoped that you understood that. Because you decided to make this a public issue, I will discuss it here.

You only stated that you had interest in the tanks in the thread. Everyone that made the list told me via private message exactly how many they wanted, asked how they can pay for them, and when they can pick them up. 3 of the 4 transactions are already arranged.

I received your specific request for four tanks over an hour after the last of them sold. I cannot be more fair than selling the tanks to the people that buy them first. I'm sorry you feel slighted in this matter, but that's how the situation worked out.

In addition- After everything MRC has donated to the club, probably second only to Seachem, it's attacks like this that may make us reluctant to help out in the future. We're typically happy to help out the ARC with donations, discounts, and resources; we can understand someone being upset over not getting what they want, but making it public and attacking our customer service because of it is unacceptable.

You're right Danny, I formally appologize to MRC because there are people there that I respect... my remarks were directed at you!

I really could care less about the fact that I was over looked at this point, it's just the principle behind the situation. There is generally a common courtesy that is used when selling things on this board, you chose to not use it. This is most likely the business side of you coming out which is a prime example as to why businesses probably shouldn't be allowed to post in this part of the forum... as a matter of fact, I believe there have been several threads closed or removed from here becuse they were listed by a retailer!


I don't see Sal or Tim using this area of the forum to advertise and sell off there goods... they both sell new and used equipment.



It's obvious that I'm not the only one that felt the situation was handled poorly by the many PM's I received... several of those were from folks offering me the tanks that I was after. I appreciate the offers guys, but I'm good, it's no big deal... I've got other options, just glad to see that others felt the same way.

If anything is "horribly inappropriate"... I'd have to say it's this! A feable threat to a club that has supported your business through thick and thin because you're pissed at what one member says... that makes sense. :confused2:

I dont see that as a threat by any means, I think Danny is purely trying to say that comments like this (and its never just one person upset with a company in a group this large) that taint peoples opinions and either leads to less support in the form of the MULTIPLE FREE skimmers they have given to the club or giving us first dibs on items like this.

I have always thought MRC was a VERY nice company and I finally ponied up the money and just bought the MRC-2R they had for sale here and I got great service from Danny and Raj. This skimmer will end up costing more in the end, However the craftsmanship will be some of the best in the industry and I am confident that if I have any problems they will be glad to help me out.
