View Full Version : New pics of baby Bangaii camouflaged
I took a couple of pictures tonight of the baby Bangaii Cardinal that Linda brought over to me to raise. It has been almost two weeks and the little guy has been eating a mixture of newly hatched brine shrimp and cyclopeeze. He was spending most of his time hiding in the corner of the tank, so I moved one of my long spinned urchin in to the 10G tank with him. I was amazed at how quickly he recognized it and swam over to it. The instinct that these little guys have always amazes me! So far so good Linda!

Thanks for posting these -- You're such a good foster dad.

Simon.Kruger 08-17-2008, 10:48 AM awesome man, congrats.
Thanks all! It's alot of work to take care of this little guy but worth the efforts! I'll try to take a pic of the four month old and compare to this little guy later today.
Bleedingthought 08-17-2008, 6:53 PM Had my bangaiis hatch their first set behind my back. Didn't even know I had a pair! :)
The fish must have loved the live food because they're all gone...
If you find any survivors I would be happy to raise them with this one.

My male is *carrying* again. I can always tell at feeding time. He darts around with the other fish at the food, but won't open his mouth.
Gotta be tuff for the poor guy. It would be like Loren going through the Burger King drive-thru with a gag taped around his mouth.

There is NO gag that could handle that kind of pressure!:lol2:

Sprayin70 08-18-2008, 1:21 AM Awesome!
I figured it would be nice to let you all know that the little Bangaii baby that Linda Lee had found in her sump and brought over to me to raise is still doing fine! This week I introduced it to the one that I was able to raise from my first brood and the two are now together. With any luck, they will be male and female and we can have a pair of tank raised Bangaii Cardinals!
Here are a couple of quick pictures of the little guys
