Hey guys,

What is your livestock refund policy? I bought a $39 Purple Queen Anthia from you guys on Thursday (7/31) and it was dead the following morning. (drip acclimated same as SPS)

Thanks-
Dustin

Dustin, sorry to hear about the fish. Our store policy is:

We guarentee fish for 24 hours.

You must present the fish, receipt and a separate water sample for us to check.
The water sample must fall within established criteria for us to issue a store credit.

Please bring in the fish and a sample. We will be happy to replace the fish if all is well with your water.

We haven't changed our refund policy in 10 years. We look forward to helping you with this situation.

Thanks

Steve

it's a good idea to drip if you run your tank on the outer edges of things.

For examples:
1. You run your ALK at around 12, most water (or test)is coming from 8 or 9.
2. I have my refractormeter calibrated with pinpoint reference solution. Most reefers use RO water, but by the time you've reached 35 or 1.0264, the salinity is now at 1.024 or so as the graduations of error widen.
3. If your phosphates are truly below 0.024 & trates 0.5 or less, I'm not sure slime will acclimate all that.

maybe it will, but then again, maybe it won't.

I drip for 30 minutes and then let it slime for 10.
