I have been wanting a clam for a while now but i haven't really looked into them. What do i need to know or have to have a clam?

The Clam Checklist:
1. High Light
2. Moderate Flow
3. High Ca levels - they suck Calcium out of a tank... quick!
4. High Mg levels - ditto.
5. Phyto-Plankton
those are in addition to obviously good water quality. Hope that helps!

They may re-orient themselves in a different direction, but they stay in one spot.
