we will start auctioning at 12:00 noon,but we will be open at 10:00am all corals will be up for till noon then we will be auctioning,will have # so we don't get any mixed because of the same name as last time.should be alot of fun.

So you number the corals and customers place bids on the coral's item #?

Is it a silent auction, where at the end of the day the bids are opened and the highest bidder wins, or is it a one-coral-at-a-time live auction?

Does the bidding start at your normal asking price, or $1?

I think I know, but I am basing this on the last auction and what I have heard...

Last time it was a live auction. One at a time.

YOU will be assigned a number, and any corals you win will be bagged and given your number, so no matter how many Chris' or Johns' show up your corals wont be sold to the wrong person. Last time many people were only giving their first name, so you know what happened. THe winning price will be written down as well, so when you finish bidding, you can check out as normal at the register.

The bidding last time started much lower than the normal price. It was mostly the auctioneer's (Kevin from Brightwell) discression at what to start the bidding at. It seemed like last time it usually started at or lower than half price.

you are right on the money,live auction and it goes to the highest bidder last time it was fun busy alittle crazy,and hope it is just as crazy.

weeeeeellllll, I did go and ended up three great deals. Picked up a really nice favia, beautiful neon green clove polyps and really cool red and green meat coral. Oh yeah, and the leather....

That was a lot of fun! I got a clam and a green staghorn with baby blue tips. I really enjoyed seeing everybody from the club too. It was a lot of fun. I can't believe Camden was there and I missed him.

There were quite a few folks from ARC; it was like a little "mini meeting". It was hard not to overspend too. So many pretty things.
