Hey Mike, I got that Iwaki MD-55 plumbed up and using to top off my aquarium from the basement. My husband is so happy I couldn't get the smile off his face. No more carrying water up the basement steps. The pump works great. We were really surprised at how "gentle" it starts up and how gentle the flow is. For a pump rated at 27 head feet, it is surprisingly gentle at only 1000 GPH. It is perfect for the application I am using. And it seems to be performing flawlessly.
