I am going to offer a loyalty program at the new store it is called Reef Rewards. I based the program a little like REI's program.

Here is a link to the web page with the program info (http://www.keenreef.com/Reef_Rewards.htm)

Basically, it is a $15 one time fee, of this $5 will be donated to a reef related non-profit orginization and the other $10 will cover the program fees (mailing cost, Printing, etc)

As a member you get a gift certificate each year equal to 1% of your purchases as well as specials only available to reef reward members. Some of these specials will be:

Take 20% off any one item
Save additional 5% on all items
Buy one get one freeAlso, feel free to browse the new site and store front. I am still trying to get the storefront updated with livestock etc. (It is time consuming)

Please feel free to ask any questions or comments.

Thanks,
Tim

I just signed up!

Thanks guys welcome to the club. You are members 4 & 5. Of course the actual number is way longer than 4 & 5 :)

Well that is $25 dollars to a non profit. Hopefully by the end of the quarter we can make it several hundred.

I will start recieving livestock next week also with the grand opening on the 16th.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim, do you pick the charity or can we select from a list or suggest one of our own?

I think this will be a great program.

I think this will be a great program.

I have researched some and I was thinking of doing a poll to let the members choose. I am open to good suggestions for reef related non profits. The beauty of the donation is it is member driven and I will let exisiting members decide decisions dealing with the donations.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim for your own sake I would watch the buy one get one free. Think if I buy a hailide setup from you for 400 and you paid 300. You loose in the end, You are a great guy and I would hate to see someone abuse that. I would put like buy one coral get one free or something. But thats just me.

Those are just examples. It will be buy one get one of equal or lesser on XXXX items in the store. Or 20% off XXXX catagories of items. I am not going to lose money on a sale item at worst I will break even if I just want to move an item that has been on the shelf or in a tank to long.

Thanks for your input though, I really appreciate any advice from most people. I can't always think of everything, although some would argue that I think I do. :D

Thanks,
Tim
