Man I wish my tank was large enough to house an achilies tang. Any idea of what the min requirements are for one?

100 plus gallons. Lots of room in the tank for them to swim. They have a very low survival rate in home aquariums. Well unless you seriously baby them. :)

Alan, great stock! what are the prices on the acans per head? Also, did you get and blue-lined butterflyfish in? I've got credit for one that Sal agreed to replace for me.
thanks
Bob

Other than the eating problem that is common with the Achilles, what else contributes to the high mortality rate?

Thanks, the only butterfly was the Pyramid butterfly. The Acans are 29.99 per polyp.

Achilies are the most finicky fish I have ever encountered. If you can get one to live past a month or so then you are in the clear. They are not un keep-able just really picky. I would say for an "expert" reefer. They are prone to bad outbreaks of ich and will go crazy and die in a smaller aquarium. They will randomly start pacing then die. Again, they aren't that bad they just need special care and attention.

Hey Alan and Sal...

What do you guys have in this week that would be nano-appropriate? I'm planning on running up there this weekend sometime, and if you've got some little guys, I may bring someone with me that recently set up a 10 gallon.
