Attention Saltwater enthusiasts and fresh water enthusiasts in Alpharetta area and north!!!!

Next Saturday, June 29th, Aquarium Showcase will be reopening its doors in its new digs at corner of Old Milton Parkway and Haynes Bridge Road.

It is just a few doors up from the Starbucks and near the Burger King and next to the Mellow Mushroom. They will get lot more walk-in customers being in busy shopping center with Mellow Mushroon, SDtarbucks, burger king, etc.

I was able to get a sneak preview of the new digs and they are nice. They have new improved coral view flat tanks simlar to Marine Fish. A few weeks later they will have a GRAND OPENING. The delays in reopening were time to get all the construction permits and inspections completed on electrical, plumbing, fire safety and construction.

I will sure be happy to not have to drive so far for water, supplies, quality livestock, etc. and I can stop at STarbucks at same time.

its not the grand opening, I get that. but what is there? is it stocked? ready to sell? pics? Ill probably stop in anyway cause you will be the first person besides petland duluth in the north east suburbs. just curious if I should be ready to drop cash of its just look and see at this point.

never been to your old store, are you like a cappacinno bay with lots and lots of livestock/frags, or more of a drygoods store?

Of course you should be there ready to spend! :D

At their old location, Aquarium Showcase always had a wonderful and vast selection of healthy fish. And over the past year, they have been making steady improvements to their coral section; both in their lighting and offering coral selection.

I can't wait to see what they've done now!

Any idea about their hours? I assume they'll be open both Sat and Sun.

I was told the hours were going to be the same. I was there the other day and it is looking really nice. While I was there I did manage to snap a pic on my camera phone of the fish room but I dont know how to transfer pics to the computer. I guess you will all have to wait till Sat to see it.

Monday - Closed
Tues - Fri - 11-7
Sat - 10-6
Sun - 1-6

I talked to owner at Aquarium Showcase tonight and he told me this Saturday July 23 is their GRAN OPENING. They will have livestock, coral, equipment, supplies. They are sending post cards to regular customers. Their new address and hours are posted on ARC under Sponsors.

He confirmed their prices will be lower than when they were in old stor location because their rent here is lower and they want to be more competitive. Their prices looked good today when I was in there. They have some nice coral already and quite a few fish. Check it out.

I stopped in Aquarium SHowcase today and they just got in great supply of corals and fish of all types. If you are in area, stop by and check it out. It is more fun going there than going to the Atlanta Aquarium due to their variety and you can get as close as an inch from the stock and bring unqiue critters home with you! They sure have connections and are getting stock from various places around thw world and they throughly screen and debug and quarantine everything before it goes into their display tanks. Bware dont go there with more money than your budget allows or you may be in the red whgen you leave. I continue to spend motre than my budget every month! It si contegous hobby.

They have: Christmas Wrasse, shark, octopus, , stingray, seahorses, lots of unqiue hard to find coral, Batfish, unique firefly fish, clams, very colorful healthy nudibranch (chromodoris quadricolor), starfish, eels, frogfish, and on and on. Their stock has never been better and gets replenished every week. All staff are friendly and ready to help.

I am merely sharing the good news of a good expanding saltwater stock store in Alpharetta area and am not on commision or anything.

When Cappacino Bay closed, I was at a real loss because they were my number one store; I had spent $1,000s there, gotten lots of advice and counsel, learned a great deal, and went there at least weekly because of their stock, variety and expereince. They are missed by all of us but it is good to know we have other good choices.

Enjoy!
