It's been a while since the last time I was in the Aviarium, so I decided to slip in over the weekend (Sunday) to grab a scrape blade for my tank. We were helped by Bill and it was a completely different experience from my last visit. The tanks looked good and there was a good selection (in spite of them saying they were low - he said another shipment was coming in early this week). He told me if I was looking for something they didn't have that I should let him know and they would get it for me. (I thought that was pretty cool of him...) The coral tanks were being cleaned while I was there, but everything certainly looked happy and healthy. They have a great selection of dry goods too - hubby grabbed a ATO for me because the price was so good. I saw another post on here where someone said the prices were high, but that wasn't my overall impression. I thought some were a bit higher than other places I have been, but my ARC discount would've taken care of that. Many of the other prices were very competitive and some were much cheaper. There were also several sales going on for livestock. I was stopped by several employees as I went through the store and was asked if I needed assistance. They weren't like vultures or anything, but they made it clear that they were available if I needed them for anything. It was a good visit and I'm sure I'll return.
A year ago when I was last in the store, I swore I'd never return. After reading several posts about the upgrades, I thought I'd give 'em another try. I'm glad I did and thought I'd share my experience with my fellow ARCers.
