Here's a picture from today of my 240g. The tank has suffered a series of huge losses and setbacks over the past couple of months. My corals (and fish) have really been thinned out. I hope this is the first picture of a series of "growth" pictures...

240g tank (7'x26"x26"), 120g sump, 140g frag tank (7'x26"x14"), and another 240g mostly fish coming soon. All plumbed together.

Here's mine, although I'm embarassed to post it after seeing Jaime's today! The 'frag farm' clustered around the crocea clam is the result of my trip to Lizella. (Thanks Jaime!)

Mine's in the 'thin but growing stage' (come to think of it, so am I!). It finished cycling in September.

175 Gallon Bowfront, 55 Gal sump

Thanks for the compliments!

The purple coral is a stylophora that I've had for 2-3 years now. It's done pretty well, and has proven pretty hardy...

that clam is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D I saw it right before I started aquascaping, and so aquascaped so that I could fit it in...

I think you offended most of us small tank people with this thread....

Everyone knows you guys have large tanks so you don't have to work as hard. :D

The soloflex room in the basement will be gutted next month (including the mirrors on the wall, if I have anything to do about it), and we're going to put in tile. The second 240g will be my wife's tank that she's been begging for - critters, a few softies, and some fish I won't let her have in my tank.

That would make a sweet coelocanth tank. You could use the soloflex frame as a frame for the live rock.

I assume you've thought of this, but since you're going to have all your systems plumbed together, I would absolutely add a "false sump". By this, I mean a possibility to take any one of them off line shoudl you need to (for treatment, quaratine, post workout soaking, whatever).

Yeah- the coelacanth has been on order for 6 months now... still waiting.... My dealer told me it'd only take a couple days.

I thought about that, but I'm not sure I want the extra mess of another actual sump. However, I definitely think it's a good idea to set things up so I can cut off any part of the system so that it can run independantly. With 240g of water, a fair amount of live rock, and relatively few fish, it can run sump-free for a while. Might not be a bad idea to add a heater, though....

One thing I haven't figured out is if I want a UV (a correctly-sized one, too) between the tanks...

hmmmm.... let me think about that (without envisioning the unitard and workout room in use).

Finally got up my last light, and installed moon light. Tank is relatively new, bought in February, put water in it in Late March early April.
As always I would like to apologize for the quality of pics. Would love to blame the camera, but all the blame goes to the picture taker.
