I've sent off my water to be tested by AquariumWaterTesting.com, to see if there's something up with my water. For $40, I'm not sure if I hope they find something or not...

Has anyone else tried their services?

200$ later I have come to a conclusion it was a waste of money.

I think they are just another tool to use. I've used them for about 8 months now. I had a lot of problems with Salifert test kits back when I started the service, so it really gave me "piece of mind". Their calcium testing is way off, other than that, they are pretty good for what I needed.

Mysterbox (and SuAsati to a certain degree) are right. The testing seems accurate with the exception of Ca. The method they use doesn't seem to account for all usable Ca, and gives you a false low reading.

LOL. Yea I have always used a POS seachem kit for Calcium and Mag. API for DKH and that's about it. My tanks have always done well with these. I do like salifert tho. Anyway good luck bro.

Well, here's the results of my test. Ca was really high (~650) when I tested, so I'm not surprised they're showing it as high as it is.

Interesting. I've thought about using them. Probably worth it once a year for stuff we don't test often, (i.e. Boron)

Thanks for sharing.
