Attention all ARC members and photographers:

It's that time again - clean the glass, feed the fish, and snap a few for the 2007 ARC Calendar Contest!

As in previous years, here are the highlights of the contest:
* Each winning entry will receive a free Atlanta Reef Club Wall Calendar.
* The entrant’s name will appear with his/her photo on the calendar
* The subject must be related to saltwater aquaria. Photos must be of a Reef Tank, Nano tank, or photos of corals, fish, and/or inverts. Photos taken in the wild are acceptable provided they fall into one of the above categories.
* Digital cameras should be set to their highest quality to produce an 11" x 8.5" print. 300 dpi is ideal (3300 x 2550 pixels), however a photo at 200 dpi or above (2200 x 1700 pixels) is acceptable. [Note - If your camera is not capable of such large images, please submit what you can.]
* Photos don’t need to be recent.
* Only Atlanta Reef Club members or members of their immediate family may submit entries.
* All submissions must be digital photos.
* Entrants will not be able to upload pictures directly to this site, as they will be resized, but photobucket and other online hosts will work. Pictures may be posted here for the purpose of voting, but this will occur later on.

Also, the deadline for submissions is tentatively set for November 13, but this date is subject to change.

Best of luck to all, and have fun!

Just post them to this thread for now using the normal attachment method. If you'd like to host them elsewhere and link them here, that's fine, too. The ones posted for now are just for judging.

We'll get the full-sized pictures from people when the time comes.

Thank you all for such wonderful entries and your appreciated enthusiasm. Some further guidelines have been made to ensure the contest runs smoothly. I have made four separate threads for each category (Coral, Fish, Inverts, and Macro Marine), so please post your photos accordingly and follow the additional guidelines below:

All entrants are allowed two photos per category, meaning you can submit a total of 8 photos into the contest.

Also, please include your (1) Name, (2) Title of Photo, and (3) email address for each entry.

Four new threads have been created:

Macro Marine (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1502)
Invertebrates (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1501)
Fish (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1500)
Coral (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1499)

Thank you all for your participation!
