I got around to hooking up my ATO today. Its been awhile since i messed with one. For some reason the ato started pumping water when it wasnt supposed to. My pump in my ato resevoir sits below the outlet of the output hose. Is my placement wrong?

What type/brand of ATO? I know the jbj has two different settings, and it may pump based on what the floats are doing.
